SC Braga has been on the come up regarding to their youth production, with many youngsters reaching the 1st team while having made a few impressive sales to elite clubs. More recently their B team gained promotion to the Portuguese 2nd division, and their youngest player in the roster, Francisco Chissumba (05) looks next in line. In his first pro season played 32 games (!) and only 7 of them with the U19, scoring 3 goals a 2 assists, including having direct influence in the goal that secured promotion, without surprise has been called to the U19 national team a few times, as well as the senior squad, but without debut yet but I expect him to be in the pre-season for 2024/25.
Pros:
+ Modern wing back with excelent physical characteristics for the position, capable of covering the whole wing
+ Light in body, really fast and explosive capable of reaching top speed tremendously quickly and performing abrupt changes of direction without loosing speed
+ Physical availability to make runs all game and still be able to track back
+ Despite speed, likes to move up gradually and participate on all stages of the game but with his characteristics could play vertically
+ In the 1st stage, will start streched out and "in line" with the DM, looking to play positive or beat the marker on the 1v1
+ Likes to attract preassure to beat on the 1v1 or to combine
+ Composure
+ Always receives with open body position
+ Very selective risk taking
+ Vision, always on the lookout for open midfielder and the runs of the forwards
+ Progress the ball either with pass or dribble
+ Ability of exploding with the ball from the back and leave multiple players behind
+ Offensive 1v1's
+ Dribble
+ Quick footwork
+ In the 2nd stage will look to engage with close by players for combinations
+ Highly envolved in the final third, displaying high variance of movement always through combinations
+ Highly unpredictable off the ball, pass and go isn't usually forwards, having good awareness of space and sometimes going sideways or diagonally and effectivaly gaining the front of the defender while adding confusion to the defensive line
+ Crossing, whipped cross is powerful and tense
- Light framework, easily pushed off the ball
- Not a great defender, will allow space for the winger I presume since he's fast enough to cover that space but usually doesn't win the 1v1's so current characteristics might not fit a 2 CB line
- Inconsistent passing and ball control, usually giving to much power or having loose control, seems to relax on the ball unnecessarily
