In this video I was exploring the differences between vintage hand wound and modern machine wound alnico 5 single coil pickups. To do this, I messed around with fuzz, wah, and OD on a Fender Champion 40. These two versions of pickups sound similar yet clearly different; even so, the distinct character of the amp and pedals definitely comes through with both guitars.
