"You're Cool with Me" is very special to Feathertree Arts, but it's not the only thing we do here! Feathertree Arts was mainly founded to create the world's first digital theatre app. This app may look like your everyday social media app, but every post you see on there is part of a longform fictional story that you can be a part of! It's a fully immersive experience where you can comment as if you were part of the story unfolding before you. There will even be a variety of accessibility features so people who are often left out of the immersive experience can be included as well.
There are several reasons that we wanted to create this digital theatre app. The first is seeing the negative effects that social media has on its users. We want to change that. The algorithmic design of the app as well as the stories told on the app will be formulated to encourage positive mental health in its users.
The second is that we want to give creatives more opportunities to create and get paid for their work. Every person behind a story on the digital theatre app will be paid fairly for the work they contribute. This will allow for more creatives to live on a steady income and allow a wider diversity of creators to have a voice.
We aim to make this an accessible place for both audience members and potential future story creatives. The most sophisticated AR features will be included in the app so any future storytellers can have a lower budget without sacrificing any out-of-this-world elements to their story. The AR technology will be able to help with settings, costumes, and makeup looks without costing any money to the user.
We also want this app to be as affordable as possible while still being able to maintain the app to a high standard and paying our creatives well. Currently, this price is set to be 2 pounds a month, but we hope to make it even cheaper as we have more people signing up.
You can find out more about the digital theatre app or any of the other projects we are working on at Feathertree Arts at our website feathertreearts.com. You can also sign up for the email list to get updates on our digital theatre app's progress as it is currently in development.
I look forward to seeing you on the digital stage!
