Today’s recipe is crispy and tasty “GREEN PEAS VADA”. For this recipe, I used fresh green peas. In winter season green peas (matar) are easily available in the market. So, I tried this recipe with fresh matar. If there are not available, we can use dried peas also. But we need to soak them 6 – 8 hours before using. Remaining process is same.
Peas are enriched with protein. So, I want to balance it with carrot, boiled potato (this is optional), plenty of leafy vegetables and lot of spices. I used dry flour to keep all ingredients together. We can use our choice of flour like wheat, rice, corn, maida or millet base. Better to use millet flour like jawar, ragi etc., These vadas don’t take much oil like urad dal vadas. But, your batter shouldn’t be runny.
