Green Tea Side Effects - Who Must Avoid It?
In general, the effects of green tea are minor. Some people may develop hives, a type of skin allergy. Hives are red and itchy and take a while to heal. Other people may develop eczema, a condition in which the skin becomes extremely sensitive. Symptoms include tingling, bumps, and fluid discharge. For these reasons, green tea should be consumed in moderation.
Green tea has some potential side effects, however, including caffeine and dehydration. Drinking more than four cups of tea per day can lead to stomach problems. Caffeine, in particular, can irritate the stomach. Drinking too much green tea can lead to nauseous and vomiting. It may also contribute to mineral deficiency. Excessive consumption may also cause diarrhoea and loose motions.
