Who is Alison?
Alison is an expert in the field of golf specific posture and body movement.
She is the founder of and foremost expert in the golf swing’s anatomical absolutes (the first alternative to traditional swing instruction), as well as educational courses for those who desire to learn how to control and create ideal posture and safe movement patterns for overall health, fitness, wellness and athletic sports.

She has over 26 years and an estimated 40,000 hours of experience training both Tour Pros (1996-2004) and amateur golfers (1996- 2021). In 1996, Alison founded the first personal training company on the PGA Tour, Total Approach Golf LLC (TAG). The TAG client list included Tom Watson, Justin Leonard, Brad Faxon, Stewart Cink, Phil Mickelson, Bernhard Langer and more. Alison was Golf Digest’s first fitness advisor (1999) and was included in Golf Digest’s top six personal trainers in the country. She has authored and published numerous articles, one of which made it into the book of the top 100 lessons by Golf Digest, titled Breaking 100 90 & 80. Alison is endorsed not only by professional golfers for her work, but also by other professional athletes in baseball, basketball and football. Alison’s work in the golf industry has warranted numerous media articles, and in 1999 she authored the book Total Approach Golf; Justin Leonard authored the forward.

Alison is the first to develop neuroplasticity-based training techniques designed specifically for teaching body movements, be it a golf swing, exercise, or correcting posture. She developed the first neuroplasticity-based posture and movement programs with her proprietary new method of instruction which empowers not only golfers, but anyone who desires to gain better control of their body (or swing) movements.

Over twenty years ago, from 2000-2003, Alison developed a swing model based on anatomical absolutes/body mechanics that has helped millions of golfers improve posture, play pain-free, and dramatically and quickly lower their handicaps. It was the first alternative to swing instruction, and later, in 2008-2009, was adopted by Chuck Quinton of Rotary Swing where millions of golfers have now benefitted from her work. Eric Kaplan of Axys Golf also learned from Alison, becoming the 2nd instructor to take her work to the next level. Mr. Quinton’s and Mr. Kaplan’s track record has been instrumental in giving Alison the proof-of-concept needed to finally bring her life’s work to market via education for all. Though difficult to put into words, the training itself requires no specialized background. This is what makes it so powerful: the brain simply needs exposure and experience from a knowledgeable instructor. After undergoing the training protocol, students will have the skills needed to teach others and pass along the benefits, no matter the skill set or background.

Since the launch of her last golf program, Mind-2-Motion Golf, in 2011, Alison has been involved with research and development for her Plumb Line Health Fitness & Performance, a non-profit education and research start-up company dedicated to developing new neuroplasticity-based instructional methods for posture and body movement.
