Clear skies over eastern Australia and northerly winds, dragging hot air from the tropics has spread south over the south-eastern states. In South Australia, it is day 4 of what will be a 5-day heatwave. The high temperatures are also being experienced in Victoria and western New South Wales. Meanwhile, the western parts of the country some cloud over the region is causing showers and thunderstorms over the last few days. For those sweltering under the heat, some relief is to come as a cool change is on the way.
