In the story of kaiju no 8, we’ve met a bunch of different characters, including the various kaiju, but have you ever wondered just how many kaiju there are in the series? Well, here is every type of kaiju in the world of kaiju no 8! The Kaiju that have the lowest fortitude levels are referred to as Yonju, which normally travel in packs when they unleash havoc on the world. When you go up a few fortitude levels to six and above, those kaiju are called honju! Honju guide yonju through their organs and they can even create new yonju if they choose to. Honju are powerful enough to require several defense force members to be sent out in order to take them down. Then when we jump up a few fortitude levels, you get to the most fearsome of kaiju, where are identified kaiju, who are so powerful they get numbers assigned to them and kaiju like no 6 are so powerful they’ve left ptsd in the minds of humanity. Identified kaiju start at 8.0 and go all the way to 9.8 where kaiju no 8’s fortitude level is. Currently, there are 15 numbered kaiju.
