1. Prepare
- DC1 : Domain Controller(Yi.vn) | WIN101 : Domain Member | DC254 : NAT Server
- Files : Download chromedefault.xml from support.google.com, a file named Webcheck.html
2. Step by step : Set Google Chrome as default Web browser via Group Policy
- WIN101(Belong Clients OU) : Check default browser current
+ Double-Click WebCheck.html === Default Web browser is Microfoft Edge
+ Or Click Start - Settings - Apps - Default apps - Check Web browser : Microfoft Edge
- DC1 : Set Google Chrome as default Web browser via Group Policy for Clients OU
+ Download chromedefault.xml from support.google.com
+ Create a network share \\DC1\Chrome\chromedefault.xml
+ Server Manager - Tools - Group Policy Management - Yi.vn - Right-Click Clients - Create a GPO in this domain, and Link it here...
- Name : Set Google Chrome as default Web browser
+ Right-Click 'Set Google Chrome as default Web browser' - Edit - Computer Configuration - Policies - Administrative Templates : ...
- Windows Components - File Explorer - Double-Click 'Set a default associations configuration file'
- Choose Enable, Default Associations Configuration File : \\DC1\Chrome\chromedefault.xml - OK
+ Start - cmd, type : gpupdate /force
- WIN101 : Update new policy and check default Web browser
+ Start - cmd, type : gpupdate /force
+ Double-Click WebCheck.html === Default Web browser is Google Chrome === OK
