Furoshiki is the traditional Japanese way to wrap gifts or carry goods. Instead of using wasteful wrapping paper or bags, the Japanese people carefully wrap their gifts or goods in reusable fabric ranging from the wildest prints to soft pastels.
The practice is a centuries old tradition and we are happy to notice that people all over the world are starting to love it! Because it’s better to spread the love instead of the waste, isn’t it?
In this video, we are showing you how to wrap 2 bottles with furoshiki.
1. First spread out the furoshiki in a diamond shape
2. Place 2 books on the faced down Furoshiki.
3. Roll one of the books over toward outside once, and pick up the corner of Furoshiki to cover the book.
4.Then roll it back toward the center of Furoshiki.
5. Do the same with the other book.
6. Pick up the top and bottom corners of Furoshiki and cross them toward other side for each of them.
7. Fold those books in the center.
8. And make "Ma-musubi" with those ends of Furoshiki.
