Car alarm malfunction is becoming more common on these older Benz. The alarm seems to get a mind of its own and may go off when you least expect it. That can be real embarrassing in a busy parking lot or heavily populated area. On 1993 and newer models you won't even be able to start the engine. Is deactivation an option?
