Local Food Producers Swamped as Crowds Flood To Gloucester Green For The Inaugural Oxford Food and Drink Festival!
A fantastic variety of food demonstrations, passionate talks, and tasty samples were filmed, as part of a wonderful collaboration of local businesses and fabulous food, from Bitten Oxford in partnership with Oxford City Council.
A trail of stalls took food fanatics from Gloucester Green along St Michael's Street, Cornmarket Street and Market Street before joining up to Oxford Covered Market.
The festival was launched by fantastic local performers Oxford Ukuleles Big Band, and this celebration of taste continued with a variety of talks and cooking demonstrations, featuring an eclectic mix of world food and drink - all produced within an hour's drive of the beautiful city of Oxford. The event had all the ingredients for success as visitors taste buds were treated to over 50 stalls showcasing everything they could wish for - from artisan breads, delicately smoked bacon, hand made pottery, liquid greengrocers selling potent gooseberry gin, and specialist street food, a fine celebration of what Oxfordshire has to offer.
Thanks to all our contributors in this film, and for the wonderful guests at the event who took part. Here's to next year!
