Sleep - this is where we start.. If we are not sleeping well, it's hard to eat right, train well and become stress proof.. Ditch the David Goggins approach of "sleeping when you're dead" and instead embrace the natural rhythm in life. Get in touch with your circadian rhythm and see your testosterone (energy and passion) instantly improve.
Diet - the food you consume.. is vital to feeling your best. Fill up on real, single ingredient foods majority of the time. Think outskirts of the grocery store: Meats, fruits, veggies, cheeses, yogurts, etc. That said, excess body fat is a HUGE testosterone killer. If that's you, a caloric deficit is required. My advice is hire a coach or learn how to drop excess body fat while maintaining high levels of protein and getting consistent training in.
Training - lifting weights and building muscle. This is foundational to energy, metabolic function and longevity. The more muscle you maintain as you begin to age past 30, the better. When you lose muscle, you lose testosterone, injury prevention.. not to mention functionality and longevity. You don't need to over do it either. Focus on lifting weights for 45 min about 3-4 a week.
Stress - managing your mental health and practicing mindfulness. A key part of healthy living is your mental health. The first step is reframing how you perceive stress (explained in the video) and then utilizing practical tools such as prayer, meditation, stretching, and journaling to let go of the stress that tends to chronically ail us. Make stress work for you and you will naturally improve your testosterone levels.
