Long Train For A Short Line Railroad! Both Sides Of Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Mixed Freight Train In Sardinia, Ohio. Ex Norfolk & Western Railway main between Portsmouth, Ohio and Cincinnati. 2 Matching locomotives pull 25 cars for 3 customers for railroad switching on the east end of the line. The gondola cars on the front are for scrap metal at Cohen Recycling in Macon, Ohio. The hopper cars are CCET cars that stay on this line and are used for rock which is loaded at Hanson Quarry in Plum Run, Ohio which is just east of Peebles. The covered hopper cars are for loading grain at Winchester Ag in Winchester, Ohio. This is a nice train with an SD40-2 and a GP15-1 leading. Trains use 160.860 and normally operate M-F during regular first shift hours although a train can operate at anytime as needed. This train was filmed just east of Mount Orab and in Sardinia, Ohio.
