Nineteen years ago, the Qionghua Sect used Wangshu and Xihe’s Double Sword Net to bind the Demon World and steal spiritual power from it, triggering a war between humans and demons, with both sides suffering heavy casualties. Yun Tianqing and Suyu, both disciples of the Qionghua Sect, left the Qionghua Sect and came to Qingluan Peak to give birth to their son, Yuntianhe, because of their differences over the Qionghua Sect’s philosophy of cultivating immortals. Suyu passed away not long after. The young Yun Tianhe did not know the past of his parents. His father Yun Tianqing also died of illness, leaving him alone to grow up in the mountains. Yun Tianhe, Han Lingsha and Liu Mengli joined the Kunxu Qionghua Sect to understand their father’s past and became their disciples. The Qionghua Sect sent Murong Ziying (played by Mao Zijun), who was of a similar age, to teach them, and the four became friends. As Yun Tianhe’s life experience was gradually revealed, the four friends who originally cherished each other fell into deep pain and confusion.
