~ Lee Roy Parnell Bio ~
The stories that this man tells are unequivocally unmatched in subject and delivery. To list his history would take up volumes, but an attempt must be made. Texas born and raised, Lee Roy grew up in a different world. For him music was a part of life. It wasn't about taking lessons, and going off to study hours of music theory--it was sneaking into bars to see guitar greats, and finding any way to make it onto their tour bus. After some time, Lee Roy packed up his original '56 Les Paul Goldtop and high-tailed it to New York City where he continued to grow as an eclectic songwriter and player. Ultimately Lee Roy found himself in Nashville where he signed with Arista Records, releasing hit after hit for country blues fans around the world. As of late Lee Roy has gotten his foot into the door to the house of music publishing, as well as recently releasing his own signature '56 Goldtop with the Gibson Custom Shop.
