Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin will gather with seven other heads of state for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on 3-4 July. Xi and Putin are looking to use the 2024 SCO summit to create a shared blueprint for Eurasia and oppose the West and NATO. The summit may also showcase to what extent the Russia-China relationship has moved towards friendship and cooperation, after years of Russia resenting Chinese influence in Eurasia.
