The trading floor of Mexico City's Stock Exchange has been closed due to a small fire.
The fire filled three floors of the building with smoke, including the area where stock trading takes place.
The small fire forced a quick evacuation of the employees.
It was apparently caused by a power surge that burned one of the electrical substations in the basement.
No one was injured.
The substation supplies electricity to floors nine to 12 of the 17-storey building.
Computer systems and trading areas were not affected by the loss of power.
The trading floor would be closed all day Friday as a precautionary measure.
Trading will still occur on its electronic trading system.
