In this video, Signe will explain some of the common errors of the sit spin, or single leg squat, position and why they matter.
• One of the most common mistakes of the single leg squat position is the knee of the squatting leg turning inwards while the body lowers down. This is easiest to see and fix off the ice!
•To fix this common mistake, skaters need to work on strengthening their glutes and maintaining proper alignment of the knee and hip.
•Bad technique = energy leaks. And energy leaks often lead to injuries! Prevent injuries before they happen by focusing on good alignment.
