In this video, I show you how to do a test print from a Canon Pixma MX495 inkjet printer, directly from the machine itself. This means that this method can be used with the PC off, or even if your printer is not connected to anything at all.
A nozzle check is a great way to troubleshoot print quality issues with many other Canon Pixma MX490 series inkjet printers, including the MX491, MX492, MX494, MX496, MX497, MX498 and MX499. Checking the printer's ability to produce black, cyan, magenta and yellow from the installed PG545 and CL-546 ink cartridges, is a great start.
