A global citizen is someone who identifies with being part of an interconnected global community and takes action to contribute to the well-being of this community. Being a global citizen involves recognizing the importance of understanding and appreciating different cultures and viewpoints, and actively engaging in efforts to create a more equitable and sustainable world.
In her address, Gehana Nag draws parallels between a jalebi and ourselves to highlight the interconnectedness of the world and the importance of recognizing our place in it. Just as a jalebi is made up of many interconnected loops and spirals, our lives are interconnected with those of people from all around the world. By recognizing and celebrating these connections, we can become more aware of the impact we have on the world and take action to make a positive difference.
Gehana Nag empowers us to realize our place in the world by encouraging us to embrace our role as global citizens. She emphasizes the importance of taking action to contribute to the well-being of the global community and encourages us to recognize the power we have to create positive change in the world. Gehana Nag is a student of HIXS 24/7 and an art enthusiast by night. With a passion for aviation and technology, she is also a young and curious entrepreneur. In her talk, she will share her perspective on ‘Being a global citizen in the 21st century’ and ‘Who I am and Who I want to be’ and by the end of it you may even want to be a jalebi! This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
