Is Summit One Vanderbilt the best new observation deck in New York City? Come take a tour with us as we ride the largest exterior glass elevator in the world, the Ascent, experience mind-bending floor to ceiling mirrors and reflections and oh yeah, some sick views of NYC. Located just West of Grand Central terminal in Midtown Manhattan, One Vanderbilt is the fourth tallest building in New York City and at 1401 feet, is one of the 30 tallest buildings in the world. While the building opened in 2020, the three floored observation deck called Summit One Vanderbilt opened in October 2021. Unlike most of the other observation decks in the city, Summit One is also a kind of art installation with various themes on different floors. While the price of these attractions change, it is not even close to being one of the more expensive ones you can visit, and raises the bar on a New York City experience. It is definitely one of the top things to do.
