FDNY On Scene All Hands Brooklyn Box 40 **77-75-0040** 856 Manhattan Ave off Nobel St. Fire in the Ductwork System of a 4 Story Brick Multiple Dwelling In Greenpoint, Brooklyn. 4/28/18

New York City Fire Department Units Responded to 856 Manhattan Ave Around 7pm to Reports of a Fire in the Rear of Building. On Arrival Units had a Smoke Odor in the Air and Upon Investigation Firefighters Discovered a Fire in the Ductwork System. The First Due Engine Company Stretched One Hose Line While the Truck Company Opened Up the Roof to Access the Fire In Between the Rear Wall of the Building and the Ductwork. The Fire was Quickly Extinguished and Placed Under Control Shortly After.
