Today French artist Zaz got locals and tourists dancing the night away in Yerevan’s Hrazdan Stadium.
Despite the rain and heavy winds — thousands of fans came out for Zaz’s first solo concert in Armenia. Zaz opened the three week long HAYA Festival.
The French singer performed the fan's favorite hits — along with a special performance with duduk player Kamo Seyranyan. Together with Seyranyan, Zaz performed Charles Aznavour’s La Bohème, leaving the crowd emotional.
The day before the concert, Zaz held a press conference with reporters where The Armenian Report was present saying that being in Armenia she feels great warmth and responsibility given that she is in Aznavour’s Homeland. Aznavour had compared Zaz with Edith Piaf and considered her the future of French music.
Opening the concert was Armenia's representative in "Eurovision 2022" Rosa Lin and Armenian musician Parg.
Following weekend will be 50 Cent’s concert followed by the Led Zeppelin Symphonic project.
