HREEM SHREEM AMBIKAYAI NAMAHA,
The second incarnation of Goddess Durga is worshipped as Brahmacharini, on the second day of Navaratri. She was born to Daksha Prajapati, and was a great Sati. To win the heart of Lord Shiva so that he would accept her as his wife, Goddess Parvati did severe penance and led an austere life for many thousands of years, unless her goal was achieved. As the life before her marriage was of a brahmacharini, which is of penance and austerity it is more important than her later life, she Is worshipped in the form of Brahmacharini which means “Brahma”—penance and “charini” the conductor. She is also known as Tapashcharini where Tapash means penance. She observed austerity in all the necessities of her life like food, her comfort, and conveyance, as she has no carriers, she is depicted as walking from one place to another. She has two hands in which she holds a kundalam and a lotus In the other hand which depicts her as a tapasvi. She is depicted as a symbol of tenacity and worship.
By worshipping Ma Brahmacharini, the students and sadhu sanyasis are more blessed. It helps to gain peace of mind, stability, simplicity, and success in life.
