A winter camping adventure in the Algonquin Highlands becomes more challenging when we encounter waist deep snow and 65 km/h winds. All of the hard work turns out to be worth it. A successful ascent of the Pillar of Doom and bacon over an open fire in the snow are some of the highlights of this winter camping trip. Check out my buddy Lorne's Elements Guiding if you are interested in doing any ice climbing. You won't be disappointed. Any skill level can have fun.
