Our shop / tent / deer blind propane heater wouldn't light. Here is how we fixed it.
If you've watched many videos on the subject, you'll know the Mr. Heater Buddy Heaters are popular units because they are inexpensive, and reasonably feature rich with abundant safety features that older styles of heaters do not carry, and are massively less expensive than other current competitors. However their durability and reliability is somewhat in question. The heater illustrated here met an untimely end in winter 2019 / 2020 while being used around the shop due to a plastics failure. It was originally purchased and put into service in I believe it was 2006, so it had at least a 13 year service life with little trouble. A common failure is the low oxygen system and pilot light. They get gummed up with dust, spider webs etc... and humidity often encrusts that debris to the inside of the orifice. The process I show in this video is the process I discovered on Mr. Heaters own page on how to clean that tube. It does not fix every single Buddy Heater problem.
