A coalition of armed protesters including Black Panthers protested outside the Bowling Green, Kentucky home of Carolyn Bryant, whose accusation against Emmett Till led to his lynching in 1955.
"Showdown up here in Bowling Green!" said Malik Zulu Shabazz as the armed group faced officers, some wielding rifles.
"You're gonna be wide open out here, Carolyn Bryant," he said, describing when the police detail near her apparent home ends.
No violence occurred as the group dispersed after promising to return. They say next time, they won't alert authorities beforehand.
