The 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup truck comes in four distinct configurations (trim levels) and adds to the success of the Wrangler SUV, developing a truck distinguished by its off-road capability, removable soft and hard tops, as well as the brand allure.

On this episode of Build Your Own, we're going to to do a configurations review of the new 2020 Jeep Gladiator followed by a build of all four Jeep Gladiator Trim Levels. Before we do, we will see exterior colors, wheel and top options, learn about tech features and more.

2020 Jeep Gladiator Review

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator, a midsize pickup depending on the Wrangler and supplying all the off-road capacity that Jeep is famous for with the additional advantage of 1,600-pound payload capability in its 5-foot extended bed. Riding on a 137-inch wheelbase that's 20 inches longer than the 4-door Wrangler's, the Gladiator comes in four configuration levels and a single body design, a 4-door 5-passenger crew cab pickup.

2020 Jeep Gladiator Configurations

The latest Jeep begins with a base model Sport version, moves up to a Sport S and has a more luxury-oriented Overland model. Jeep will also supply the more intense off-road Rubicon version, which has a higher ride height offering 11 inches of ground clearance. Originally, the Gladiator will be accessible with a 3.6-liter V6 engine making 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. In 2020, a 3.0-liter diesel 6-cylinder engine will be provided boasting 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Max towing on the Gladiator is 7,650 lbs. All versions will be offered with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission.

What does the 2020 Jeep Gladiator cost?

While pricing has not yet been announced, we expect the 2020 Jeep Gladiator to begin in the low $30,000 range. For reference, the 4-door Wrangler begins at $31,445.

When will the 2020 Jeep Gladiator go on sale?

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is expected to go on sale sometime in the next second quarter of 2019. I heard the spring or summer of 2019 actually.
