Today we're featuring some new absolute encoders from Nidec-Avtron Automation from right here in Cleveland, OH.
I have here the AV30 absolute encoder, a mill-duty shafted absolute rotary encoder featuring an IP65 rating with a moisture-proof, shock resistant magnetic sensor. It can operate over a wide range, from -30C to +85C. (Quite a solid piece of equipment... this is no joke... hold up, show)
The encoder fits existing flanges and mounts, allowing for easy upgrades from older equipment. These encoders also don't require any batteries, capacitors, glass disks or gears.
Communication options include analog outputs, CANbus, DeviceNet, and SSI.
The other encoder is the AV6A optical rotary absolute encoder. It features an unbreakable optical disk, making it extra reliable. It also features an IP66 rating and uses high quality shaft seals and bearings and has an operating temperature range from -40C to +85C. The use of high quality bearings means that these encoders can bear greater axial and side loads than other encoders.
The AV6A communication options include parallel output and SSI to Profibus and Ethernet standards.
