In March 2022, the joint agreement on development of excavators between John Deere and Hitachi ended. Going forward, the future generation of John Deere excavators will be all owned, designed and built from the ground up by John Deere. The all-new line-up of excavators from the company made its debut at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 in Las Vegas. Using its own designs and technology, John Deere can leverage advances from within its own enterprise base to extend advanced features and solutions to the full excavator line-up. Machines on display at the show included the 145 P-Tier, a 210 P-Tier and a 360 P-Tier. The company is focused on the value propositions of the new machines including dependability and durability; performance; elevated operator experience; differentiated by technology; and customization and upgradability. Down the road, John Deere will have a full global line-up of future generation excavators.
