As part of Momenting the Memento, Polimoda presents the "Bishan Project: The New Rural Reconstruction Movement" by Ou Ning, at the Florence National Library, starting from 13 May 2015: this is a journey that uses art and education to tell the story and evolution of the community of intellectuals in Bishan, a village in south-east China, where thanks to the social activism of Ou Ning, the ancient cultural traditions have been brought back into being.
On the occasion of the event, Ou Ning’s notebook has been on show and the artist has worked on it again, this time together with a variegated group of students from Polimoda: “How to Make Ideas Happen”, together with the life philosophy of the great artist, was the theme of the AtWork workshop that Ou Ning has decided to explore in a conversation with Maria Sebregondi, creator of the Moleskine brand.
