The Zepp-Varga Collection includes nearly 250 works of art by Inuit assembled over a period of 45 years. It features works from the Historic Period to the Contemporary with the majority being from the Classic Period (c.1948-1995). The art collection is supplemented by archival material providing exceptional documentation of Inuit art and artists, including photographs, slides, interviews, correspondence, and exhibition catalogues.
The collection has been certified as Canadian cultural property, in recognition of its outstanding significance and national importance.
We sincerely thank Norman Zepp and Judith Varga for entrusting the University of Saskatchewan with this remarkable collection, and the anonymous donor who made the production of this video possible.
