U.S. President Donald Trump was seen on Saturday wearing a face mask in public for the first time since the novel coronavirus pandemic began.
Trump was visiting wounded service members at Walter Reed Military Hospital in Bethesda, Md.
It marks a reversal for the president who has so far avoided donning a face covering in public, even in those facilities that had policies requiring a face covering.
People close to the president told the Associated Press that Trump feared a mask would make him look weak and was concerned it would shift focus to the public health crisis rather than the economy.
