Nadia Murad’s village in the Kurdish region of Iraq suffered genocide and human trafficking at the hands of ISIS in 2014. Since her harrowing escape from her captors, she has worked to bring justice and peace back to the Yazidi people and other victims worldwide. She was award the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize for her work.
