In this video, I discuss my experience with charging the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 on only 120V, level 1 power. The charger that comes with the Ioniq 5 maxes out at 12a on 120V power which equates to roughly 1.3kw of power into the vehicle. I found that this is actually enough to charge the Ioniq 5 back to where you started the day if given enough time and your commute is fairly short. Even if you are unable to recover 100% of the energy you used in a given day, you can still recover much of it and with the large battery packs of today's EV's you are given a good buffer unless you are planning a road trip the following day.
