Daler Mehndi has been entertaining music lovers from all over the world with his energetic Punjabi voice. An initiative of Sun Foundation; ‘Dhaka International FolkFest’ is a celebration of sheer musical brilliance where myriads of folk artistes from home and abroad perform on a single platform.

পাঞ্জাবি ভাঙড়া গান দিয়ে দশকের পর দশক শ্রোতাদের মাতিয়ে রেখেছেন দালের মেহেন্দি। নব্বইয়ের দশকে একের পর এক অসাধারণ গান উপহার দিয়ে তিনি হয়ে উঠেছিলেন তারুণ্যের উন্মাদনার আরেক নাম। ‘দ্যা ভাঙড়া কিং’-এর প্রাণবন্ত পরিবেশনায় ‘ঢাকা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ফোকফেস্ট’-এর মঞ্চ হয়ে উঠেছিল আরও রঙিন।
সান ফাউন্ডেশনের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত ‘ঢাকা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ফোকফেস্ট’ লোকসংগীতের এক মিলনমেলা। এ উৎসবে বিশ্বের নানা প্রান্তের লোকসংগীত শিল্পীদের পরিবেশনায় অসাধারণ সব লোকগান শোনার সুযোগ পায় বাংলাদেশের মানুষ।
