All New 2025 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Hybrid | Ready to Upgrade?
Mitsubishi has hinted at a 2025 fourth-generation Pajero Sport based on its new Triton dual-cab ute.
The new Pajero Sport will compete with ladder-frame SUVs like the Ford Everest, Toyota Fortuner, and Isuzu MU-X with a better interior, safety suite, and engine.
The third-generation Pajero Sport, known for its ladder-frame-chassis strength and off-road ability, began production in 2015. A five- or seven-seater with all-terrain all-wheel drive is expected to replace it.
We know little about the next-generation Pajero Sport, but we can draw parallels between earlier Pajero and Triton technology and the next sixth-generation pickup. Mitsubishi will reveal the 2025 Pajero Sport closer to its release.
The new Pajero Sport will have a 2.4-litre twin-turbocharged turbo-diesel four-cylinder with 150kW and 470Nm, up 17kW and 40Nm from the current model. Importantly, maximum torque would be accessible from 1500rpm, up from 2500rpm on the existing vehicle.
Pajero Sport may have the new Triton's 3500kg braked towing capacity, up 400kg from the current model.
The new Triton and Pajero Sport will share an interior. That's a complete redesign and modernization of cabin ambience from 2005 to 2025.
A largely digital instrument cluster with a 7.0-inch screen is inside the 2024 Triton, which looks like an Outlander. Multimedia is a 9.0-inch center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Top-spec vehicles have steering wheel and front seat heaters.
