How can a 40-ton vehicle become climate-neutral? Which technology will be used? Battery-electric drives, hybrid drives, the hydrogen-powered fuel cell? What role will synthetic fuels, so-called e-fuels, play? How could the military produce its own fuel on the territory of NATO member states? After all, the German armed forces have to be climate-neutral by 2045, while the US army has to achieve this goal by 2050.
