DC's New Age Of Heroes was announced with one title at the lead and that was The Immortal Men #1, which combined James Tynion IV and master artist Jim Lee. This would be the launching pad for the Dark Matter comic line, but the name changed, comics were delayed and here we are, more than six months after it was supposed to be on shelves. Is The Immortal Men #1 worth the wait? We do get the sense that there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than we suspect, which interests me, but some of the scenes are weighed down by lots of text and faceless narration. The inclusion of The Batman Who Laughs opens up an entirely different can of worms, and makes it a book you need to keep picking up if his story interests you.
iRate Reviews is the show where I go over specific comic books from my pickup that deserve to be talked about and review them in more depth. This doesn't mean that they are always good though. Some comics are lessons in what NOT to do.
