He first gained recognition for his starring role in the disaster film The Impossible, receiving the London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year. He rose to stardom for playing Peter Parker / Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
