The UN Human Rights Council has adopted a resolution to allow the collection of evidence of alleged war crimes during Sri Lanka's civil war. Tens of thousands of people were reported to have died in the decades-long conflict which ended in 2009. Western countries led the way in voting for the measure, while nations such as China and Russia opposed it. Yvonne Yong reports.
