Recipe 1 -Varutharacha Chicken Curry
Ingredients
chicken – 1 1/2 kg
shallots (crushed) – 5-6 nos
ginger(crushed)-2spn
garlic(crushed)- 2 spn
onion (chopped) – 2 nos
chilly powder – 40 gm
coriander powder – 50 gm
fennel seed powder – 1 spn
masala powder – 2 spn
pepper powder – 1 spn
salt – as required
oil – as required
Directions
1.Heat oil in a pan.
2.Saute ginger-garlic and green chilly until turns to brown.
3.Add shallots and saute well.
4.Saute onion, then add salt and turmeric powder.
5.Add tomatoes and salt until its soft.
6.Add chicken into it and mix well.
7.Heat chilly powder and coriander powder in a pan until it turns brown.
8.Transfer to the dish, then mix well.
9.Pour hot water into it. Mix well and allow to cook on medium flame.
10.Sprinkle some fennel seed powder, masala powder and pepper powder.
11.Drizzle some oil.
Recipe 2 – Natholi thoran
Ingredients
jackfruit seed – 1 cup
chineese potato – 1 cup
drumstick seed – 1/2 cup
salt – as required
oil – as required
turmeric powder – 1/4 spn
chilly powder – 1 1/2 spn
fennel seed powder – 1 spn
coconut (shredded) - 1 cup
* Grind coconut with green chilly and curry leaves.
1.Heat pan
2.Add jack fruit seed into it, then add chinese potato, then after shallots, at last add fish, turmeric powder and salt. Cover and cook.
3.Stir carefully after boils.
4.Add drumstick seeds on the top of the dish. Cover and cook.
5.Stir carefully when its boils.
6.Add chilly powder and crushed coconut into it and cover with lid. Cook for about 2 mins.
7.Stir carefully.
8.Sprinkle some salt and fennel seed powder on the top of the dish.
9.Drizzle some oil.
