Johann Carl Friedrich Rellstab (1759-1813): Sonata per Organo D-Dur
1. Allegro pomposo
2. Andantino

He studied with Johann Friedrich Agricola and Carl Friedrich Christian Fasch and actually wanted to continue his education with Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach in Hamburg when he had to take over his father's print shop in 1779. He expanded the business into a music shop and founded the first "Musikalien-Leihinstitut" in Berlin in 1783. From 1792 he joined the Singakademie, where he was one of the conductors along with Fasch and Zelter. He was a good piano player and an influential figure in Berlin musical life. But in the war of 1806 he lost almost his entire fortune.
