In this video we will see how to make healthy and tasty keerai molagootal or keerai kootu, a popular Palakkad, Kerala dish in tamil. Kerrai molgootal is a very healthy dish as we are adding jeera/cumin seeds, black pepper corns, grated coconut and spinach! This is also a no onion no garlic recipe!!
Keerai molagootal can be prepared using any of the greens like ara keerai, mola keerai, paruppu keerai, thanda keerai or palak keerai. I have used arai keerai to make this recipe. Also, I have used masoor dal. You can also use regular toor dal to make this dish.
Molagootal is a traditional palakkad cuisine recipe, made with lentils, spinach, mixed vegetables like chayote, carrots, peas and ground coconut mixture. One of the easiest dishes to make.
You may also want to try keerai sambar or keerai kuzhambu which is also very yummy recipe which can be made using Keerai.
