Emergencies can happen at any time and the Prisma Health Children’s-Upstate Emergency Center is here when you need us. Located at Greenville Memorial Hospital, we are the only Level II ER between Charlotte and Columbia and provide lifesaving and emergency care for over 30,000 newborns to eighteen year olds a year.

The Children’s Hospital Emergency Center is staffed twenty four seven with board certified pediatric emergency physicians, nurses, technicians and child life specialists. Each team member is specially trained in pediatric care and approaches emergency care through the eyes of a child and is sensitive to the needs of children and their families. It’s through your generous donations that enable us to provide the “extras” that allow and teach a child going through a procedure what is happening. Items such as vein finders and child size medical equipment show how a procedure will be done. Other things like art supplies, play doh, stickers and more keep a young mind distracted from the scary stuff and helps ease a parent’s mind as well.
