Friends welcome you once again on our channel.
In this video, I will tell you about Shri Harmandir Sahib.
Sri Harmandir Sahib, also called the Golden Temple, is the most important gurudwara of the Sikh people.
It is located in Amritsar city of Punjab, India. Thousands of pilgrims and tourists visit every day in the Golden Temple.
In fact, the name of Amritsar is named after the lake which was constructed by Guru Ram Das himself with his own hands. This gurdwara is situated in the middle of this lake.
The entire golden temple is made of white marble and the outer part of this gurdwara is made of gold, hence it is also known as Golden Temple or Golden Temple.
Around 400 years old this master's map was prepared by Shri Arjun Dev ji.
There are four gates around the gurudwara, which are opened in all four directions. Here, followers of every religion are welcomed.
Here the Berry tree is also considered as a shrine. It is known as Ber Baba Budhdh. It is said that when the Golden Temple was being built, Baba Buddha Ji was sitting under this tree and kept the eye on the construction of the temple.
The Golden Temple is built on a man-made island in the middle of the lake. The gold layer has been climbing over the entire temple. This temple is connected to the edge by a bridge. The pilgrims bath in the lake. This lake is full of fish.
In the langar of the Gurudwara, there is a whole system of food and drink for the devotees coming from the Gurudwara. This langar is open for devotees 24 hours. The arrangements for eating and drinking are from the offerings and the other funds coming in the Gurudwara. 40 thousand people take the anchor offer every day.
The Golden Temple has been destroyed many times. But due to devotion and faith the Sikhs made it again.
It was again built in 17th century by Maharaja Sardar Jassa Singh Ahluwalia.
The number of times it has been destroyed and every time it has been made, every incident of it has been shown in the temple. The Afghan attackers completely destroyed it in the 19th century. Then Maharaja Ranjit Singh had rebuilt it and decorated it with a golden layer.
Here is a place called two-floor Beri. According to legend on the wall of the gurus that once a father married his daughter to a leper, The girl had the conviction that like every person, the leper person is also alive on the mercy of God. The same gives him everything to eat. Once the girl, after marriage, left her husband on the same pond and went out to search for food in the village. Then suddenly there came a crow, he dipped into the pond and turned out to be a swan. Seeing this, the leper was very surprised. He even thought that if you go into this lake too, then you will get rid of the leprosy.
He jumped into the pond and after coming out he saw that his leprosy was destroyed. This is the same lake, in which Harmandir Sahib is located today.
