We all know about the chemistry between Kafka and Blade and as much as we love this duo the player base of honkai star rail has always wondered why Blade follows Kafka's orders.
In honkai star rail version 1.2 special program livestream it was revealed why blade always does what Kafka says, the reason is that blade is infected by mara (the negative effects of immortality) and Kafka helps him supress the mara inside him with her spirit whisper ability.
That explains it all and also the elio's sprit that all Stellaron hunters are following.
