Seed your nap or night dreams with calm, relaxing scenes and sounds from the mysterious cave temples of Marble Mountains.

Today we explore some of the pagodas at Marble Mountain. It's been a brutal winter season so far here in Da Nang -- relentlessly cold, wet, and grey. I even bought a space heater for my little apartment. So on the rare day when I wake to clear skies, I grab my camera and head out to explore.

I noticed today there are puppies...everywhere! I didn't see a single one last time I was here. They get up to all kinds of hijinks, including tearing up the altar pillows.

Seasons here are strange, feel strange. Mild winter days feel a lot like autumn in California. You can find yourself suddenly craving pumpkin pie out of the blue!

The air quality is normally good in Da Nang, but sometimes in the winter there's an inversion layer that holds the pollution down and keeps it from blowing away. The particulate level has been quite hazardous lately, and I I keep losing my voice and my eyes have been burning. There are mobile apps that give you the particulate reading every day, and I'd recommend it for people who are sensitive. On bad days, either stay indoors with the windows closed, or be sure to wear a proper N95 particulate mask outdoors.

You'll notice over this Marble Mountain series that Vietnamese Buddhist temples are pretty much the same from one to another. When the weather clears up, I'll be heading up to Lady Buddha, and you'll see that temple looks very similar.

And there's so much more left to explore at Marble Mountain, like Heaven's Gate and the Hell Cave. There's definitely more to come!
