** OGTV's second GOOD STORY of the week is about 3 veterans who got together to help their fellow veterans overcome PTSD, and begin healing, through the power of a hug. **

The Human Hug Project is made up of three people with three different lives, but all face the same obstacle - PTSD. Ian Michael is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Gino Greganti is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. Erin Greganti is a Marine Corps wife who experienced war and its aftermath at home.

Together, they have formed the Human Hug Project which uses their own experience with isolation, anxiety, and depression to help other veterans cope with theirs – all through the healing power of a simple hug. Their objective is a simple one: to travel across the country giving out hugs at every VA hospital in the USA.

"For those with PTSD, there is a lot of fear, anxiety, and troubled thoughts," Ian explains. " The best way to attack those fearful thoughts is with love, and the best way humans communicate love is through a hug."

Human Hug Project has visited more than 34 hospitals so far. They still have a ways to go but the power of a hug and their "gofundme" initiative is driving their efforts to continue to spread their message of love and caring.
